Mark Asher, AIF®

Senior Partner, Southwest Wealth Strategies Retirement Plan Specialist, RJFS

Mark Asher, a senior partner at Southwest Wealth Strategies, brings a distinct blend of expertise and relatability to his role, managing the practice’s 401(k) area and helping over 50 companies with their retirement plans across the Southwest. A Phoenix native, Mark earned a BA in broadcast journalism from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ (1992–1996), and holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation, underscoring his commitment to helping fiduciaries with their corporate plans. With a background as an afternoon drive sports talk show host for 15 years, Mark now applies his communication skills to help “get clients home” with their retirement goals.

In his daily role, Mark manages the 401(k) area while also helping guide individual clients to manage their wealth with confidence and clarity. Specializing in retirement plans, he prioritizes open communication to ensure clients’ accounts align with their personal goals. Mark’s approachable style, rooted in honesty and simplicity, avoids jargon to make financial planning accessible and outcome-focused, fostering trust and confidence. He believes his dedication to treating clients like family sets him apart, as he works tirelessly to earn the faith they place in him.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Mark resides in Peoria, AZ, with his wife, Samantha, and their three active sons: Jackson (born 2007), Sawyer (born 2013) and Beau (born 2016). Outside the office, he is often found at his sons’ sporting events or on the golf course, where he avidly plays – though he humbly admits he’s not the best golfer – cherishing experiences on some of the world’s greatest courses. Mark remains deeply involved in valley charities, a commitment carried over from his radio days. Passionate about his work, he treasures the relationships he’s built and takes pride in helping clients achieve their financial goals.
